The Future of Creative Innovation in the UK

The UK’s creative industries are world renowned for their innovation and excellence and as a sector returning £124+ billion Gross Value Added to the UK economy.  

The CoSTAR Network represents the largest investment in Creative Industries R&D to date with a £75.6M grant awarded by the UKRI Infrastructure Fund and delivered by the Arts and Humanities Research Council. Through its world-leading facilities, technology and research CoSTAR will build the first national R&D infrastructure for the Creative Industries and fuel growth for our creative economy.   

The CoSTAR Network will use labs in different parts of the UK each with distinct research specialisms to give small and medium sized creative companies access to expertise, collaboration spaces and the cutting-edge equipment they need to develop ideas from early prototypes through to audience experiences that can compete on the world stage.
